December Daily ~ Day 21

Hello!

It's almost Christmas, are you excited? I AM! And guess what? We're almost through our December Daily albums!!!! Well, I am anyway. I am proud of myself for keeping up. I got a day or two behind here or there and then really focused and made sure that those days were caught up in a timely manner. I refuse to be one of those people trying to finish up my album in the spring!

Today I'm showing you Day 21, and if you click the link below it will take you to the video on You Tube. Please give it a peek and feel free to give me a thumbs up, leave me a comment and subscribe!!!!

For this day I used a Jillibean Soup shaker card. I put our Santa Claus photo in the shaker along with some cute red and silver gems. I added ephemera and puffy stickers from Elle's Studio and Crate Paper. This IS a card so on the inside and on the back of the card I have journaling but I didn't really want to photograph that. It's just journaling. I do show it quickly on You Tube but I wanted the focus to be on the front.

Please leave me some comments! It's lonely out here in Blog Land! lol

Thinning out my stock of photos....

I have a lot of photos of random projects that I want to show you and they are really starting to pile up. So are you ready for a pic~heavy post? Here we go....

I made my mother in law a chipboard mini album for Christmas. I kind of think she doesn't actually like receiving them LOL but I keep trying. Perhaps next year I'll try a less dimensional, clean and simple album and see how that goes over. I think possibly she just doesn't know what to do with these bulky treasures. I could be wrong.

This layout was really done quite a while ago. I have this app on my phone where you can take a photo of someone and morph it into something else and it just cracks me up to no end. My husband likes to do impressions of...how do you spell his name? Gollum? The guy from Harry Potter, so I oh wait. Not Harry Potter. Ok you can tell this is not my thing. Lord of the Rings?? Maybe. Anyway, there you go.

This is more of a basic layout that I made of son doing his fire fighter explorer training. I rather liked how this one turned out.

A little CC Designs monkey that I colored up in preparation for a pocket letter.

And here's the coffee themed pocket letter that I made. I'm not REAL sure what the obsession is over pocket letters but I wanted to give a few a try.

The layout below was featured on the Paper Issues blog so I was pretty thrilled. I actually didn't love that layout so much so I was surprised but still happy.  Mine is the layout on the bottom.

This is a fairy simple layout that I made documenting our trip to Bi Rite Creamery in San Francisco.

One more pocket letter, this one featuring images from Josefina Fernandez on etsy. I love her work!

And that's all folks!

See you again soon!

December Daily ~ days 17-20

Hello! I have to say, I seem to be missing a few photos and with all of the holiday hustle, who knows what I did with them? In an attempt to just keep on keepin' on,  however, I'm going to post what I have.  =)  Something new for me are these 2x2 pockets. I wasn't sure how I'd like them but yep....I do! They are cute for decorative paper, little tidbits and of course shaker elements!

The standard 4x6 pockets are great for just getting the job done quickly, so they will always be my go~to pocket.

For the photo below I decided to put that on a chipboard mason jar covered in holiday paper. I added glittered page reinforcers to the rings, a photo, some ephemera from Crate Paper and some letter alphas. The different shaped pages really add fun and interest when you are going through the album.

Here's a note about those 2x2 squares though...they are NOT roomy! I had to add some of the elements on the outside of the pockets to get them to work due to a lack of 'give' to the tiny pockets. That's ok though...it adds texture and interest so I'm good with it.

I have videos for all of the days of this album. Here's one link, though, and you can find the rest of the videos on my channel. I also have a December Daily play list on my channel if you're interested in that.

December Daily, day 16!

Hello everyone!

Thanks for stopping by my blog today. I'm sharing my layout for December 16th for my December Daily. I used a page protector with 2 x 2 squares and that was a fun way to change everything up. I printed out 2x2 photos of Andrew opening up some of his Christmas gifts. He gets to open things early since we don't have him on Christmas or Christmas eve so Santa arrives early for him, that lucky guy! In my You Tube video I chit chat about all of the products that I used for the shaker elements, so you can view my video by clicking the link below OR you can leave me a question in the comment section if you prefer. Thanks again for visiting!

December Daily, Day 14 and 15, 2016

Hi!

Today I'm showing you how I documented days 14 and 15 in my December Daily 2016 album. I've had a few days where I'm not doing too much worth documenting so I decided to document Christmas movies and my holiday decorations. Thanks for stopping my blog, I really appreciate it! As always, if you have any questions about anything I've done or used, just ask and I'll try to be as helpful as possible.

Take care!
Carol

December Daily ~ Day 7

The exhaustion is real, folks. lol The holiday hustle and bustle is setting in and I'm not sleeping well because I can't shut off my mind at night. I keep wondering if I left anyone out, are there more cards to send, what do I need to bake tomorrow, when are my projects due? Yes BUT I still managed to do my December Daily layout AND here I am to show you and provide you links to You Tube. I'm still on top of the game! I'm tired but I am doing it! #proudofself

Ok, so here's the You Tube link if you want to hear me chatter about my day and the layout:

December Daily ~ Day 6

Hello there!

So I've been keeping up with the daily blogging, You Tube um...ing (?) lol and doing my December Daily...you know...daily. Pretty proud of myself, I have to say!

As per usual, here's a link if you want to watch a video about today's layout:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MT4WF3mE-ZQ

I have to say, I did this layout twice. I did it once in the middle of the night because I couldn't sleep, then I woke up and was like...um no. Nothing really matched and I just wasn't digging it. AT ALL. So I pulled those MFT bears out and it went like a breeze. Use the crafty items that you love, it makes all the difference in how your projects turn out, and in the amount of enjoyment you get out of the creative process.

Thanks for stopping by!

December Daily ~ Day 5

Hi there! Thanks for stopping by! Today I am showing just a peek at my December Daily, day 5. I have a photo covered because it features a gift for a friend and I don't want him to see it on social media before he receives it! I'll come back and post a photo of the full layout IF anyone requests it.

You can also take a peek at my video, which you can find by clicking here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ohG8KhTNb0

My friend opened his gift today so you can view the photo now:

I'm also going to post a few extra project photos for your viewing pleasure today to make up for the fast that the rest of the post is so photo ~ light.

This first photo is a picture of a zombie shaker pocket that I made in October for my October Daily album. I'm not into Halloween AT ALL but I wanted to give it a nod in my OD album anyway.

Now for some layouts.  This first one is of the boys and I on a beach trip. This was made over the summer so um...if you have any questions about products and such please ask but I'm not sure what I'll remember at this point. Please enjoy the photos anyway! LOL

This was a PL spread with some throwback photos of my little babies....who are 16 and 18 now. *sob*

Oh my gosh I remember this snow trip like it was yesterday. That's my baby girl in the snow. I took the BEST photos that day. The cold air made her little cheeks so pink and ugh...my heart just melts.

Like I said, any questions, please feel free to ask and I'll do my best to answer.
Have a great one!

December Daily, Day 4

Hi there!

As always, here's a You Tube video link if you'd like some explanation or more details about the layout that I did for my December Daily. Any questions not answered in the video, just feel free to ask!

Now for some photos!

As you can see, the layout is just all about coffee. There are times when you have a day with not that much to document. And that's ok! Just choose a prompt and document that! You can find tons of prompts on Pinterest. I wanted to document my love of the holiday Starbucks lattes...YUM!!!

Enjoy and see you tomorrow!

DIY gift wrap using The Greeting Farm stamps!

Hello!

Who wouldn't love to see a gift under the tree with custom paper made just for them? I know I'd be overwhelmed to see that someone had gone through that much effort for me!

In a video on my You Tube channel, which you can find by clicking HERE to go to my channel, you will see how I create custom holiday wrapping paper! It's really not that hard at all, it just takes a bit of time. I also made a coordinating tag with just some card stock, the same stamp set, some twine and sequins.

I used a stamp set from The Greeting Farm called Dashing. You can go directly to the store and buy this set by clicking HERE

Now for some photos:

Take care, everyone, and enjoy the holidays!
