Long time, no blog. Sorry about that but you know...the pool is calling me and I can't seem to say no! Here are a few things I've been working on lately:
First of all, there's the Greeting Farm challenges. I have to play along with those, that's another thing I can't exactly say no to because let's face it, it's fun to get the nice feedback and there ARE prizes at stake so. Yeah. That's something I make some time for, for sure.
The challenge this month for the FFF challenge was "All about the boys", meaning you basically have to use the male images. Most people go for the cutesy girl images but the boys need love too! The first project that I did was to decorate my planner. I have to tell you, I'm not one of those people that go crazy decorating my planner, in general. I find that I really ~need~ the space to...you know...plan. However, it's summer so I had a little extra room so I went for it. It's still not overly embellished like some you might see, but I do have things to write down. Try not to stalk me by using my schedule, please. LOL
Anyway, for the planner I used Rescue Ian and Surfer Ian. They fit in perfectly with the things that I have planned for June. My son actually came into my craft room the other day to talk to me and he noticed my planner and leaned down and touched the colored images. He said, "Hey Mom, this is cool. How did you get this on there?" lol I stamped it and colored it son. He was impressed. I liked that.
The second project for the challenge (you can only enter twice) was this layout that I made for my son. He just got into the Firefighter Explorer program and I definitely needed to document that. I used Rescue Ian as my GF image this time, as well.
What else? Project Life. Lots and lots of it. Or if you'd prefer to call it pocket scrapbooking...I don't care what you call it. I do it. Lots of it. Here's one page that I made documenting our trip to Nevada.
Honestly I don't know what this was....I think a card but I can't remember now. I found this photo in my files of things to be uploaded but it's the only photo there was. Let me think. I do believe this was a card where I stamped the image in black and white in the background and then put a polaroid of the girl image (The Greeting Farm...I'm obsessed!) on the front. It turned out cool. Wish I had the full photo. Not sure what that's about. Moving on.
Oh, and this layout that I made to sell. I have to say, I'm pretty thrilled with how it came out. It's currently on e bay and if you'd like a link, just leave me a comment and I'll be happy to give it to you. I put a lot of time into this one, I am pleased with it.
Wait...shhh....what was that? Oh. Sorry guys, the pool is calling me again.
Until next time!
