Paper Issues Current Link Party, "Chip Off The Old Block" along!

What? I'm playing along with a Paper Issues Link Party? How unlike me! NOT! lol So here I am again, participating in my favorite store/blog/facebook group because, well, I love them. *insert kiss ass emoticon here*

Want to play along too? Here's the link where you'll find all of the details/rules:

Now for the photos...ready? I made a 12 x 12 layout using new goodies from Crate Paper's "Wonder" collection, along with items from my stash, as usual. If you have any specific questions on products, please leave me a comment and I'll do my best to answer.

The photo is of my step son, Andrew. We had a day with just him recently and we took him to this place in Livermore called "Cream"....heaven! It's a simple concept, they make custom ice cream sandwiches out of dreamy ice cream in interesting flavors (my favorite is Cinnamon Chill) and put that between cookies that can only be described as perfection. My fav? Snickerdoodle. I know...simple idea but I am telling you, it's so delicious I can't hardly stand it and it's something like three or four bucks...crazy! The line is out the door by noon.

Do you like process videos? I have one on my You Tube channel for this layout if you're interested. Here's the link:

What are you waiting for? Go play along! There are prizes, I tell you!
Have a great day...leave me a comment!

The SNL Design Team!

I am very happy to announce that I have been asked to be on the SNL Design Team again! This time my term is a solid year...big commitment but typically it's only one project per month so it won't overwhelm me or anything. lol I am fairly certain I can work that in ~somewhere~!  =)

For those of you that don't know, the SNL Design Team is a DT focused on using your stash. It doesn't promote a company or shop of any kind. Just us crafters, using our stash. I like that concept, don't you?

Here's my SNL DT schedule, if any of you would like to follow me around.

                                     ~~sneak peek alert~~

In the past, the SNL Design Team would do videos on their own You Tube channels, then post onto the Facebook group. However, this year we are going to be posting on Karla's channel, making her personal channel into the SNL channel, basically.

Here are some links you'll need to keep up on all of this!

Here is the link to the Facebook Group, called the SNL Fan Page:

Here is a link to my You Tube channel:

Here is a link to Karla's You Tube channel where the Design Team will be posting:

The SNL Design Team is made up of Karla (the owner), myself, Nicole and Hannah. Ladies, if you are reading this blog post, I am very happy to post your You Tube (or whatever social media you prefer) links to this post. I wasn't comfortable doing it without your permission. If you would like to be linked up, send me a private message on Facebook (with the links so that I can copy and paste) and I will be happy to get that done for you.  =)

Here is Hannah's information:

All right, that's about it! I will be blogging all of my SNL projects, stay tuned!

Oh happy mail!

What a joy it is to receive a package in the mail from a crafty friend! Typically called Happy Mail, it's a great way to start the day!

The first package that I received was from my friend Kelly. Kelly...if you happen to be reading this and you would like me to add your You Tube link to this blog, I'm happy to do that. Just send me a text and I'll link you up. I just wasn't sure how 'out there' online you'd like to be...or not. Know what I mean? But anyway, Kelly sent me this fabulous box of books and embellies and I was THRILLED. First, she sent me a striped Heidi Swapp Planner that is just so yummy, I can't wait to use it! She also sent me a kraft Smash Book that I already have begun using for our beach excursions. She sent me a box of PL cards and embellishments, tons of gold and I'm loving that for sure. The last thing she sent was another Smash Book but this one we send back and forth. We pack it full of silliness, gifts and random thoughts and then exchange it every few months. It's one of my favorite things to work on!

Thank you my dear friend!

My second package was from Wendy and Wendy...same deal as Kelly. If you are reading this and you'd like me to link up your You Tube I'm happy to do so! Just shoot me a private message on Facebook! Wendy was watching one of my videos where I mentioned that my Cricut blade on my paper cutter was tearing up my paper. She contacted me and told me she had an extra one that she didn't need and I was all too happy to take it off her hands. So thoughtful!!!! She also included this adorable fox stamp. I'm kind of obsessed with foxes like everyone and their brother, so I really appreciated the stamp.

Thank you Wendy, you're awesome!

Have you received Happy Mail lately? What was your favorite thing you've ever received? I would love to hear about it!

Until later~~~

A layout for Paper Issues, Sketchy Saturday!

I'm playing along with Paper Issues for their current link party, Sketchy Saturday. Want to play too? Of course you here's the link:

Here is the sketch that they provided:

And here is my take on it:

I have to say, I'm REALLY pleased with how it turned out. You know, even two years ago I wouldn't touch a sketch but at some point it is just plain helpful. Know what I mean? I can come up with my own layouts but sometimes the inspirations slips away and it's just so convenient to have a cheat sheet. One thing that I had thought was that if you're using a sketch that your layout would be the same as everyone else's but it's just not true. If you look at the Paper Issues blog, you can see all of the different ways that people interpret the sketch and they are VERY different. Give it a try! And if you do use this sketch, play along with Paper Issues, there are prizes! Who doesn't love that? I just won something from them last week, I was thrilled!

Thanks for stopping by!

I was featured on the Paper Issues blog today! YES!!!! Thank you, Paper Issues!

Another layout for the Paper Issues "Seas the Day" link party!

First's that link you'll want!

I am playing along with the Paper Issues link party called "Seas the Day". This party is sponsored by October doesn't get better than that, folks! I am entering multiple entries this time, you'll see a few blog posts from me as well as several Pinterest posts as well, if you follow me there. Play along, it's fun!!!

I pulled a lot of product from my stash and paired them with the newest items from Simple Stories and Crate Paper. I love mixing and matching, making it my own and using my stash. Die cuts, wood veneer, little frames...pure scrappy happiness in my book!

Make sure you play along with the current link party at Paper Issues!
